Round 2

Here we go again! Bret and I are going to be parents to two kids now.  I am due April 11th.  We are very excited!  We went to the doctor today and they said everything is going great.  Bella hasn't quite

gotten the concept yet, but she is a good mom to her baby dolls-so I think she will have this big sister thing down!  

We were able to get an ultrasound because they were unsure of my due date.  Which was a good thing because we originally thought my due date was April 5.  This time around we are going to try something different, I am going to a midwife.  I never thought I would! The doctor's office we chose to go to (because it was highly recommended) has both doctors and midwives.  They said that the first appointment was with a midwife, and then I could go to a doctor after that.  That was what I was planning to do, but we loved the midwife so much we are going to stay with her.  She put my mind at ease, because she said she will give me an epidural if I want and I can deliver in a hospital with the doctor closely monitoring.  She said the main difference was that she would be able to spend more time with me than a doctor would.  

I am excited that we were able to tell both our parents in person, which we weren't able to do when we found out we were expecting with Bella.  My parents were at my house because my mom helped watch Bella while I was at girl's camp and Bret was in school.  Bret and I found out the night I got home from girl's camp, and we told my parents the next morning.  I thought I might be pregnant so I made Bella a "Big Sis" shirt before I left for camp.  We sent her out of the room that morning with her shirt on.  They were so surprised and excited! And then we were able to tell Bret's parents when we were at their house for Drew and Chelsea's wedding.  They were excited as well!
